TPD has been involved with the Liseter development since its beginning planning stages in 2004, starting with density analyses and public outreach, all the way through roadway design plans and construction coordination. The 123 acre parcel, consisting of 449 homes is an age-targeted housing development with a luxury clubhouse, pool, fitness center, and tennis courts. It is the only master-planned community of its kind in the Newtown Square area offering on-site amenities. TPD provided an array of services, including:
In addition to the onsite roadway design, TPD also completed the design of a complete reconstruction of an intersection of two state-maintained roadways (Route 252 & Goshen Road) to include extended left turn lanes, right turn lanes on each approach, ADA upgrades, and signal equipment upgrades. Additionally, plans were designed for a new signalized access intersection, which not only provided access to Liseter, but also a much-needed outlet to Route 252 for the residents on the eastern side. Ultimately, as part of the improvement scheme, Route 252 will be widened for approximately 4,000 feet to provide a center left turn lane from Sawmill Road to the northern property border.
