Project Overview

TPD performed transportation engineering services for the redevelopment of the Frederic O. Hess Engineering Research Laboratory building for a mixed-use building with a total of 1,248 beds for student housing, a student dining facility, one level of below grade parking (95 spaces), and a ground level of student-oriented retail (17,666 square feet).

TPD coordinated between PennDOT and the City Streets Department regarding the traffic study, maintenance and protection of traffic during project construction, and pedestrian / vehicular traffic flow near the signalized intersection of 34th Street and Lancaster Avenue.
