AVO new office opening

TPD recently welcomed back a familiar face, Christy Staudt, PE, to serve as TPD’s Regional Lead for North Carolina to oversee the opening of TPD’s Asheville, NC office - our first office located in southeastern U.S.

Christy has worked on a wide range of projects over her 19 years in the field of transportation planning and engineering. She has worked with both public and private sector clients on:

- Traffic Analysis and Signal Design

- Intersection and Roadway Project Management (local, state and federally funded)

- Crash Analysis and Safety Reviews

- Municipal and Corridor Transportation Plans and Traffic Studies

- Traffic Calming and Streetscape Studies and Design

- Access Management

- Internal Site Circulation and MUTCD Reviews

- Transportation Demand and Parking Demand Management

- NEPA Documentation for Transportation Projects

- Public Involvement and Consensus Building


Christy also brings expertise in multimodal and complete streets projects, including:

- Bicycle and Pedestrian Facilities Design – On Road and Off Road (Including AASHTO AND - NACTO Bike Guide Design Experience)

- Trail Design and Alignment Evaluations

- Safe Routes to School and Transit

- Pedestrian and Trail Crossing Design

- Accessibility (ADA) Reviews

- Development of Bicycle and Pedestrian Policy and Design Standards
