TPD CFO, Shawn Glick, Recognized on Local Top 40 List

Lehigh Valley Business (LVB) named Shawn Glick, CDA, TPD’s CFO, one of the 40 most accomplished young business professionals in the region. LVB’s “Forty Under 40” awards program celebrates the Greater Lehigh Valley’s most accomplished young businesswomen and men who have been making headlines in their field and who share a commitment to business growth, professional excellence and to the community. Publisher, Mike O’Rourke, was quoted as saying “they [the winners] come from many different industries including health care insurance, engineering and accounting. These folks are truly making an impact on the business community and making the region a great place to work and live.”

It was a no-brainer for TPD to nominate Shawn; he has gained all of his 18 years of professional experience at TPD and was originally hired for a co-op as a Widener University student in 1998, which quickly turned into a full-time offer. Shawn started in a leadership role early in his career, and over the years, he transitioned to leader of the firm’s Corporate Accounting and Human Resources (HR) teams, then to Associate and shareholder shortly thereafter, and finally promoted to Principal. Now as CFO, he is responsible for overseeing company-wide corporate and operations services: Accounting, Risk Management, HR, IT, Facilities, Front Office and Marketing. He is the 2015 CFO of the Year award winner in the Best Turnaround Specialist category from LVB (September 2015), and is currently enrolled in a Master’s program at Widener University for an MBA, on-track to earn his degree in October 2016.

Shawn is not only a leader at TPD, but also in the engineering industry, as well as, his local community. He is active on many boards and committees, active with the Cub Scouts, and has coached his son in soccer and basketball. He regularly participates in community service projects independently and with multiple organizations, including TPD, such as: food donations, litter cleanup at local parks and on highways, volunteering at food pantries, donating blood, and donating to Toys-for-Tots foundation. Shawn resides in Pottsgrove, PA with his wife and two sons.
