TPD President Speaks Out on Latest Mensch Report on Transportation Funding

TPD President and Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Board member, Kevin Johnson, P.E., was recently featured as a guest on Senator Bob Mensch’s program The Mensch Report, speaking on the topic of the recently-passed Transportation Funding Bill and what it means for Senator Mensch’s constituents and Pennsylvanians. The Mensch Report is televised locally on Comcast Cable, RCN Cable, Service Electric Cable, and Pottstown Community Television (PCN-TV) and is designed to keep residents of Montgomery, Bucks, Northampton, and Lehigh Counties updated on important issues in state government and their local communities. Mr. Johnson was a key contributor on Governor Tom Corbett’s Transportation Funding Advisory Committee and continues to be heavily involved with legislators throughout the process of the passing of the Transportation Funding Bill and beyond. During his 28 year career, Mr. Johnson has prepared and managed highway and intersection final design plans for over 400 projects and has prepared and managed nearly 2,000 traffic impact and parking studies nationwide for a variety of commercial, office, residential, municipal, educational, institutional, industrial, hospital/continuing care, and solid waste disposal projects. He is the second engineer to serve on the SEPTA Board of Directors where he is the Chairman of the Administrative Committee and the Audit Committee. TPD specializes exclusively in transportation engineering and related construction and environmental services with seven offices serving the Mid-Atlantic region.
