On Monday, May 7, 2018, the Greater Valley Forge (GVF) Transportation Management Association (TMA) recognized three of TPD’s employees for their outstanding work related to Transportation Demand Management (TDM) at their 28th Annual Meeting as part of their annual Top TDM Professionals Under 40 awards program. Frank Falzone, P.E., Joseph Janos, P.E. and Christopher Lincoln, P.E. were recognized, among 22 of their peers, as ambitious leaders in the region who have made a positive impact in the transportation industry.
Frank Falzone serves as a Project Manager for the Access Design Department at TPD. His work history across the region has made him a roundabout and street lighting design specialist. He has worked to implement more energy efficient street lighting installations in his active role on the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC)’s Regional Streetlight Procurement Program steering committee. The project consisted of 35+ municipalities pooling their buying power to purchase and install over 25,000 LED outdoor lighting fixtures. Additionally, most municipalities entered into a Guaranteed Savings Agreement with an energy service company (ESCO) that guarantees that the energy cost savings achieved through the project will exceed financed lease payments. Frank has also prepared three roundabout designs in the region, providing a roadway alignment that improves the safety of bicyclists, pedestrians, and controlling vehicle speeds throughout the projects’ limits.
Joe Janos serves as Trails Design Manager at TPD, where he works to create trail designs that balance compliance with nationally accepted codes and ordinances with our client’s wants and needs. He also serves as a Project Manager for the Access Design Services Department. His work history across the region has made him a multimodal specialist. He has more recently worked to design bike lanes in Abington Township along an integral corridor; connected a crucial missing link of the East Coast Greenway in Bristol Township; completed a project providing bike lanes and cycle tracks to schools in Pottstown Borough; prepared concept designs for Grays Ferry Avenue in Philadelphia to better refine roadway and transit systems, parking, and bike/ped facilities; improved alignments between the Reading Area Community College with the adjacent Schuylkill River Trail; improved the safety of Camden’s streetscapes; and developed corridor enhancements along River Road in Camden to improve crosswalks and intersections.
Chris Lincoln serves as a Project Manager in TPD’s Municipal Services Department and has experience in the transportation industry serving both private and public sector clients on both a regional and local level. His primary area of expertise is transportation planning and municipal engineering. His role at TPD is to accelerate our municipal and regional transportation planning efforts, providing efficient transportation solutions for our clients and community members. Throughout his 13-year career, Chris has played a key role on many important regional projects, including improving bike/ped connections between the Pottstown Business District, Pottstown Memorial Park, Pottsgrove Manor, Schuylkill River Trail, and Montgomery County Community College. He has provided municipal engineering support services for many local municipalities including: Limerick Township, Montgomery Township, Boyertown Borough, the City of Reading, East Pikeland Township, and more.
