TPD Celebrates 25 Years of Engineering Excellence

TPD, an award-winning transportation engineering firm serving the Mid-Atlantic region, is pleased to announce its silver anniversary. Founded April 17, 1989 in a remodeled three-story colonial house located in Oaks, PA, TPD began with six employees, and over the last 25 years has grown into seven strategically located offices throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. TPD’s priority on sustainable company growth, despite the recent hiccups in the economy, has enabled the firm to develop and maintain its staff of highly-qualified professionals whose contribution to infrastructure, workforce, and economic development for the past quarter century has earned TPD merit on both local and national levels. The firm’s stability is evidenced by the recent opening of a new office in Philadelphia, a planned West Chester office to open this summer, and the anticipated hiring of several new staff members this year.

TPD President Speaks Out on Latest Mensch Report on Transportation Funding

TPD President and Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Board member, Kevin Johnson, P.E., was recently featured as a guest on Senator Bob Mensch’s program The Mensch Report, speaking on the topic of the recently-passed Transportation Funding Bill and what it means for Senator Mensch’s constituents and Pennsylvanians. The Mensch Report is televised locally on Comcast Cable, RCN Cable, Service Electric Cable, and Pottstown Community Television (PCN-TV) and is designed to keep residents of Montgomery, Bucks, Northampton, and Lehigh Counties updated on important issues in state government and their local communities. PBJ Recognizes TPD as #23 Engineering Firm in Philadelphia Area

TPD is pleased to announce we have been ranked the #23 firm on the 2014 Philadelphia Business Journal’s Top 25 Engineering Firms list based on 2013 fiscal year gross billings. TPD first made PBJ’s list in 2000 and is proud to have been consistently ranked over the years. TPD Noted for Design-Build Engineering Expertise

TPD was recently ranked as the #17 Top Design-Build Design Firm in the nation by Roads & Bridges (R&B) magazine as part of their 2013 Go-To List. R&B is the leading publication covering the transportation construction and maintenance marketplace. R&B sent its survey to over 10,000 government officials from various levels of government, inquiring which design firms they preferred to work with to form this year’s list. It is noted that TPD was previously ranked as the #20 Top Design-Build Design Firm by R&B as part of their 2010 Go-To List.
