TPD Welcomes Back Vincent DeFlavia, PE, Regional Leader – Traffic Engineering and ITS

TPD is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Vince DeFlavia, PE, who rejoined the TPD team as a Regional Leader for Traffic Engineering and ITS Services. In this role, Mr. DeFlavia will enrich TPD’s traffic engineering and related emerging technologies capabilities, particularly with respect to the public sector, with a focus on Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO), Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Smart Cities applications.

Mr. DeFlavia has 25 years of A/E/C industry experience. He returns to TPD after working for Bentley Systems as Sales Director for their North American Project Delivery Team. With Bentley’s focus on transportation engineering software solutions, and his focus on client service, his role at Bentley provided him the opportunity to continue and expand his experiences and relationships in the A/E/C industry.  Prior to Bentley Systems, Mr. DeFlavia served as a Highways/Signals Project Manager at TPD for 12 years, and four years before that were spent with the City of Philadelphia Streets Department, Traffic Engineering Division.

Mr. DeFlavia has a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and a M.S. degree in Transportation Engineering, both from Villanova University. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Engineers’ Club of Philadelphia and is a Past President of both the Mid-Atlantic and Mid-Colonial Districts of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (MASITE). In his free time, he serves as a Board Member of the Holy Cross Regional Catholic School, as well as a volunteer coach.

“Vince’s roots are deeply established in the greater Philadelphia area, with decades of experience creating tailored transportation solutions for each unique project. The strong leadership and traffic engineering capabilities he brings with him will directly affect the development and modernization of the region’s infrastructure,” said TPD President, Kevin Johnson. “His passion for connecting with people and providing outstanding client experiences makes him an incredible asset to TPD.”
