PROJECT OVERVIEW

This locally-sponsored, federally-funded project involved the construction of an approximately one-third (1/3) mile long section of the southeastern Pennsylvania Liberty Bell Trail.

This project consisted of the construction inspection services for the multi-use trail and ADA ramps. This multi-use trail connected the Madison Lot Development with Andale Green residential development making connections through Lansdale Borough to complete a section of the Liberty Bell Trail. The sections extend from the Madison Lot Development, across Main Street to the SEPTA bus stop on Railroad Avenue.  The trail runs alongside and crosses a spur of the SEPTA and P/N rail lines, which includes hand-man signals and an ADA compliant track crossing surface. It then extends along Railroad Avenue to the Municipal Complex before it crosses Broad Street and then extends to an intersection of the Stoney Creek branch at a signalized track crossing.

TPD was responsible for various construction inspection tasks for this project, including: submittal processing, consultation on field design issues, ADA curb ramp review, construction budget analyses, and coordination with the project sponsor and contractor.
