PROJECT OVERVIEW
TPD completed final design tasks for the replacement of a structure carrying I-70 over the WL&E Railroad (S.R. 0070, Section 10Q) in Westmoreland County as part of a Design/Build Team. This project included the replacement of the existing three-span concrete encased I-beam structure with a single-span spread box beam structure.
The project also involved the widening of the shoulders on the structure and on the approaches, the construction of a new concrete approach slab, the replacement of approach guide rail and the installation of storm water management facilities.
TPD’s portion of the work was completed for MA Beech, Inc. as part of a Design/Build agreement.
