PROJECT OVERVIEW

TPD provided planning and design services for the redevelopment of a blighted warehouse into the first Royal Farms in the City of Philadelphia, PA. Extensive coordination was conducted with City Council on access and PennDOT on the adjacent I-95 corridor improvements.

TPD initially prepared a traffic impact study and met with the District City Councilperson to discuss on/off site improvements, access, and community concerns. There was also extensive coordination with the PennDOT Project Management Consultant for I-95 Revive improvements to ensure synchronization of construction efforts.

TPD then prepared design plans for the site access points and frontage improvements. Extensive coordination with PennDOT and the City Streets Department resulted in a quick design schedule and integrated responses. The site design required the use of new highway products (Qwick Kurb) approved for use by both PennDOT and the City.
