CPESC – Revised Requirements in PA

Steven Natale, PE, of TPD recently received his Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) certificate, joining two other staff members, Daniel Bitterlich, PE, and Tracy Stroschein, who are also certified. The CPESC is an inspection requirement PennDOT has recently adopted for projects larger in scale, such as the SR 0422, Sections M1A and M2A over the Schuylkill River. TPD’s certified CPESCs have performed erosion control site inspections, as well as monitored, reviewed and approved the installation of Erosion and Sediment Pollution Controls. Similarly, TPD has also provided inspection oversight for stormwater management BMPs (Best Management Practices) on several projects, as required per PADEP Permitting closeout. TPD will also be performing the stormwater inspection of the BMPs for the I-95/PA Turnpike Interchange on behalf of J.D. Morrissey. If you have any questions about PennDOT’s requirements or if you would like to speak to someone at TPD regarding our available services, please contact DBitterlich@trafficpd.com.
