In observance of Engineers Week, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) recognizes 10 inspiring young professionals and 10 promising civil engineering students annually on a national level for their efforts and achievements. TPD is proud to announce that two TPDers made the New Faces of Civil Engineering lists this year – Kerianne Chen and Andrew Kline.  

Kerianne Chen, EIT: Kerianne is a Highway Design Specialist at TPD with two years of experience, and was one of 10 young professionals recognized nationwide. Kerianne’s efforts in advocacy, serving as a beacon for young and aspiring engineers who may not feel like they fit into the stereotypical civil engineering mold, was a major contributing factor for this achievement. Beginning in their time at Drexel University, Kerianne was involved with student outreach efforts with the University’s chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and currently with ASCE Philadelphia Section’s Younger Member Forum as a K-12 Outreach Chair, as well as a TransportationYOU (TrYOU) Mentor with WTS Philadelphia. Andrew Kline: Andrew is a Planning Specialist intern at TPD, as well as a junior at Villanova University, and was one of 10 students nationwide to be recognized on ASCE’s collegiate New Faces of Civil Engineering list. He currently serves as the President of the University’s ASCE Student Chapter, and is active with the Student Ambassador Program.
