TPD Welcomes Multimodal and Vision Zero Specialist, Rachael Bronson

TPD is pleased to welcome Rachael Bronson to our firm as Transportation Planning Specialist. Rachael joined TPD’s Traffic Engineering Services Department in the firm’s newest office location in Asheville, North Carolina.

Rachael has 11 years of experience in public and non-profit sector work in multimodal transportation policy, planning, programs, design and construction. She most recently served as a Senior City Planner in the Department of Public Works for the City and County of Denver, Colorado. In this role, she managed the Denver Bicycle and Vision Zero Programs, overseeing and implementing projects and annual work efforts. She possesses a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado Denver. Rachael’s technical background in engineering and professional experience as a planner enables her to co-exist in both disciplines.

Rachael is a Charleston, South Carolina native, and prior to her time in Denver, she was the Executive Director of the statewide bicycle advocacy non-profit organization Palmetto Cycling Coalition. With the Coalition, Rachael led a bicycle safety campaign, oversaw a statewide complete streets training, and established a network for local practitioners to share resources and best practices in municipal bicycle programs. With increasing interest in building transportation systems that encompass multimodal and vision zero principles, there will be ample opportunities for Rachael to apply her expansive knowledge and experience to assist our clients and the region we serve.
